One woman said her father called in June to say he was going to be paroled after serving 20 years for car theft.

Then in September, she got another call: He was instead being transferred to await deportation.

It was the last time she heard from him.

Louisiana Made It Nearly Impossible to Get Parole. Now It’s Releasing Prisoners to Deport Them.
Gov. Jeff Landry eliminated parole for prisoners arrested after Aug. 1, 2024, and tightened eligibility rules for those already in prison. Then he set all of that aside for one group: undocumented imm...

SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.

All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:
FEMA employee terminated for signing whistleblower letter
It appears to be a major violation of federal whistleblower protections and constitutional rights.

Trump has wanted to go ever-bigger with his planned White House ballroom.

One person who disagrees: Trump’s handpicked architect

James McCrery is worried about the size of Trump’s addition overshadowing the main White House mansion, per people we’ve spoken to.

Trump wants a bigger White House ballroom. His architect disagrees.
The president and James McCrery had argued in recent weeks over the project’s size, with Trump pushing him to expand the ballroom.

This incredibly irresponsible alcoholic idiot is calling for 500 additional troops in Washington. Because that won't incite more violence.

Everything about this silly "Secretary of War" is about saber rattling and pretending he is so strong. He really must have been picked on in school.

National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.

According to the White House physician from 2000-2013 "“They show him as effective,” Dr. Kuhlman said of Mr. Trump’s aides, “but every time he’s in the Oval Office, he’s sedentary.”"

In contrast, George W Bush and Obama exercised every day. Obama worked 10-7, W showed at 6:45 am. Trump at noon.
