I love how some pre 1950s movies barley clock in at 60min. Let's bring that back, I have shit to do.

If you can't articulate WHY you don't like something, you should keep it to yourself, or focus on talking about things you do like

“Based on characters from DC” fuck you. Supergirl was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.

I don’t care when you started reading Superman or what your favorite story is, Otto Binder is the reason you like Superman. And Al Plastino is just as good an artist as Curt Swan.

Internalizing the "dosn't quite fit in the woman box" of my gender over the past few months has been super good for my mental health.

Is it a cope? Maybe

I experience much less dysphoria. I don't compare myself to others, because there is no one like me. I'm unique. I'm a special snowflake. Happy🖤

“why did someone save this post??” i dunno that button was put in a part of the UI that makes it trivially easy for someone to accidentally press it & not realize it, but no actually i saved that post because later im going to stroke my shit to completion to your thoughts about orange juice pulp

The idea that “early Spider-Man was an incel power fantasy” is so completely wrong on a very basic level that I’m going to go into my dreaded “comic book guy take mode” over it

my comics advice is: show feet

it sounds like dumb online meme nonsense but it's not; every 2-3 pages make sure you draw your character so their feet show, it grounds them in the environment and forces you to vary your panel composition.

"Movie you've watched more than six times"

Like... all of them? If I've seen a movie at all, there's a middling chance that I've watched it more than six times.

After a Japanese game company hired people only to find out they had no artistic skills because they used Gen AI during the interview, they now require candidates to draw something live in front of the team.

I expect this to be a more likely endgame than allowing people to use AI during interviews.
Mid-size game company in Japan asks potential recruits to draw in front of them to avoid generative AI fraud - AUTOMATON WEST
Due to "AI fraud" becoming much more frequent, Japanese recruiters have started asking applicants to draw in front of them during interviews.

A trippy cover by Neal Adams that utilizes photomontage by Jack Adler to create a striking split image. (Bummer that Iris doesn't wear that crazy futuristic outfit in the actual story.)
