If liberals need to give up Clinton to stop Trump, then that’s just the cost of justice. I personally see it as a BOGO deal on shitty men we’re better off without.

Yes, yes, yes and also yes.
anyway I am just rambling now but I really don’t feel like I’ve ever seen my own messy, fractious, complicated relationship with Catholicism depicted onscreen with this much nuance, skipping over any kind of simplistic “Church = Good” or “Church = Bad.” church just brings out what’s already there

I've spent the last three weeks wrestling with Wake Up Dead Man. Here are some of my thoughts—I have many more.

I am wildly grateful to talk about art that deals seriously with the world we've created, and somehow still holds on to hope.

According to the Tenant Union Federation, the private equity firm organized a counter-protest: People bearing Israeli flags showed up to violently disrupt the rally.

Every Democrat going on air should take the first question and then say something like “Before I answer that I need to express my outrage and disgust at the president’s bigoted and vulgar insults about the Somali people. There is something seriously wrong with him. He is a sick man.”

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

New research out today with my colleague Jacob Udell on financial distress in the multifamily market. We focus on the impact on tenants, who have little say over their landlords’ financial decisions but bear the brunt of the consequences of this escalating crisis.

Check it out!
Financial distress in the multifamily market is on the rise in the United States: Multifamily loan delinquencies are at their highest rate in 10 years, having nearly doubled in the last year alone.

I just don’t understand how anyone can think we have any chance of having a sane country as long as this kind of despicable propaganda, lies and bigotry is broadcast daily by the biggest news site in the country.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

It’s wild to suggest this is a circular firing squad or something when it’s millions of citizen Democrats who hate it versus 47 elected Democrats who conspired to surrender for nothing.

We’re not fighting “each other,” we’re fighting you. There’s only a few dozen of you, but you hold all the power.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

ZERO CREDIT without a demand for change. Also zero credit card - you’re not getting a dime from me.
The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages
