If there was a hung Parliament with Reform as the largest party would the Tories swerve forming a coalition with them and line up with Labour/Green/Lib Dem (assuming their additional seats were needed)? Hard to call.

Other random scattergun thoughts if the Tories do lose all the bastards (to quote JM) could they recalibrate themselves as a more moderate one-nation Tory party again? It’s hard to see that under Badenoch.

I remember when Suella Braverman refused to apologise to a Holocaust survivor for using language reminiscent of Nazi rhetoric about refugees. She’ll fit perfectly into Reform.

Ultimately you're not supposed to believe it. It not mattering is the point. The bolder the lie, the greater the impunity. The ultimate victory for evil is not convincing you, it's the truth being irrelevant.

The Traitors is absolutely perfect television. Crack. And craic. I know you already know this, but I just love it when you see something that is SO brilliantly made. A milliner’s worth of chapeaux to the entire team.

I think there’s something in this especially if you imagine Ian Fletcher in his new role of Director of Better Admissions voicing the same. #W1A
Ok, I cracked and read that Trinity Hall private schools admissions article, and my main conclusion is that the policy is a phenomenal success in getting people who did not go to Cambridge to know that Trinity Hall exists, and people who did to care.

Keeping it topical, I greatly enjoyed the Titanic Sinks Tonight (iPlayer). More bleak TV recommendations to come in 2026.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk Another terrible misstep by Labour - effectively limiting IB to private schools with no consultation. My daughter’s school is one of the affected and is being forced to switch to A levels from next year.
Labour is axing funding for the International Baccalaureate in state schools - seems an odd decision that will only widen the gap between state and private sector observer.co.uk/news/nationa...
