If you ever feel like you aren't reading enough cool, interesting, and diverse writing, just start a zine and open up submissions. I don't read as many novels or magazines as I used to, but I'm reading way more than I ever have before and loving every second.

It was a time travel story that featured twins swapping places for some reason even though they were both from our time and not the target time so who would even know which was which anyway and why would it matter.

Look, I was 6, okay.
I was thinking about early writing recently and I'm curious—short fiction writers: what is the earliest short story you remember finishing that wasn't for a school project or anything?

This is not a debate. I share this to remind parents and children, and to protect them from suffering.
One consequence of the resistance to established science is the way it forces scientists and journalists to re-prove and remind people of what is true. NPR has a story noting why measles are a big deal: It's one of the most contagious diseases on Earth. loom.ly/WMZO9pw
As the Texas outbreak grows, how contagious is measles, really?
Vaccination eliminated measles from the U.S. 25 years ago. But it can still spread in pockets where vaccination rates are low, like the west Texas county with a current outbreak. Here's how fast.

Fox News reported that JD Vance had to move to an “undisclosed location” due to protests at the Vermont resort where he’s skiing this weekend. For inflicting misery on the world and here at home in America, this is exactly the energy that should greet Vance wherever he goes for the rest of his days.

My lovelies, I love helping people in need, but I'm not donating to a random link spammed to me on social media. There's way too many fakes and frauds. If you're supporting a charity and want my support: post about it and invite me to check out your info. Everyone else gets blocked.

By the way, this is one of the issues where you might be able to make some headway with GOP reps if you live in a rural district. It has always been the heavily red rural districts that stopped them from destroying USPS in the past. Reps know their constituents depend on USPS.

A gay guy, a Black man, and a woman walk into a flight deck— that’s not the beginning of a joke, but just a regular day at work! There was so much DEI on this plane that we could hardly get in the air. Luckily my limp wrists were able to wrestle the heavy jet back to the ground 💅🏼

Writing is very hopeful because you'll be like:

I don't know if people will like this book.

I don't know if the industry will exist in 2 years.

I'm not sure North America will be functional in 6 months

And still finishing writing the book to go on sub anyway.

Hope springs eternal! 🖤
