I've always wondered if open source could benefit from crowd funding.
Kinda like bug bounties. Hit funding goal x for feature y.
Superficially it sounds cool but I suspect it'd be easily abused.

I put myself in time out if I catch myself acting poorly to/around my kids. It's a real time out too just like they do.
