Zohran Mamdani received more first-round votes (432,305) than Andrew Cuomo received total votes after ranked choice voting (428,530).

That means more people ranked Zohran first than ranked Cuomo anywhere on their ballot (without ranking Zohran above him).

@5calls.org can we get a prompt to call about the abduction of Mahmoud Kahlil please? The government cannot legally take a permanent resident who hasn't committed a crime just because the government doesn't like their politics. This is something we all need to outrage against.

I will believe members of Congress are serious about government corruption when they pass bills to ban themselves from trading stocks and overturn Citezens United.

Everything else is to make people *feel* like they’re addressing corruption.

New and devastating reporting from my colleagues showing just how dangerous it has become to be pregnant and in Texas after the state banned abortion.

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

You couldn't ask for a clearer picture of the fundamental crossroads in the aftermath of Democrats' loss to Trump:

Hard to imagine a better test of political judgment than which Democrats are willing to criticize their wildly out-of-touch party leadership right now. Seems like a layup

Our economy is fucked and anyone telling you different is trying to hide how fucked it is.

This sheds light on everything from the true nature of the class war to how the Democratic Party and its apparatchik lied to us and botched the 2024 Election.

The lawsuit calls her firing "a blatant violation of the National Labor Relations Act" and says that if she doesn't challenge her firing Trump will have nullified the NLRA’s protections.
