1. This is disgustingly racist,

2. There is a long history of nonsensical tests which are ment to force helplessness. They are always formatted in ways that the goalpost can be moved to reflect whichever result the proctor would like to give.
This is genocidal intent.

Remember, this is what a psychologist told Keira when she asked why she was being tested this way. They are desperate to stop more Inuit from existing in their precious "civilized" society.
"To see if you are civilised enough, if you can act like a human being."

Disgusting dehumanization of Indigenous people. Eye contact can't determine someone's ability to parent! Nor do any of the questions Keira talks about! FKU test also includes an ink blot test

Danish social workers are still pressuring Greenlandic women to get abortions, they did this before FKU was banned on Inuit, and they're continuing today. They're desperate to stop Inuit from existing in Danish society.

What I love the most about dance, is that it's a communal practice.

As much as we can find movement within ourselves, that movement was inspired by the experiences we pick up along the way.

Zoey from #KpopDemonHunters obviously has rejection sensitive dysphoria—I'm 95% sure she's #ActuallyAutistic. That scene at the doctor's where he calls her a little too eager to please is a textbook RSD/fawn reaction. But if you haven't been taught to recognize patterns of abuse, it's easy to miss.
I know, rhetorical, but it's simple: We don't teach it.

I wasn't even taught "fawn" along with "fight/flee/freeze" in school. On a related note, I couldn't see that my father is abusive until after I'd learned about it.

Yea, so, maybe we *dont* build deep relationships with models of ourselves which fawn to us for survival.

Like. Idk. Maybe we work on ourselves, and the *real people need help* factor of things.

Iono gais. 🤷🏾

Shouting this louder.

CITE YOUR GODDAMNED SOURCES!

The fact that MOST misinfo circulates among the right wing doesn't make us lefties immune to falling for nonsense. We're also human and thus fallible.

To minimize the chances of being taken for a ride, CITE SOURCES.

I've noticed a lot of users are interested in joining some iteration of "resistance" to oppose fascists. Allow me to outline some first steps:

1. Cite your sources. And when someone asks you to, or when someone sources your claim for you, say thanks.

Fascists survive on mis- and dis-information.

Thank you! If they're published by Tor (US or UK) or from @subpress.bsky.social, they should be DRM-free anywhere you buy them, and if they are not, I will not complain if you take measures to make them so. If you actually purchase my books, it's my opinion that you own them, period, full stop.
I love that your ebooks are DRM-free on @bookshop.org

It will never cease to amaze me how I can thread ideas for hours and days on social media, then feel like I'm being hit by a truck over being tasked with writing a research paper. 🫠🛻

Elder millennials, they upped the age limit to 45 so you can get yours still. I did recently!

The age limit is only there because they assume you have HPV. But then STI isn't the only kind this vax protects against.

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

I've worked on farms where most of the crew were put there as rehabilitation for various issues.

I'm grateful that being back in school has affirmed that I have never faked my disabilities.

I'm at a point where I'm more patient with myself than critical, and really I couldn't mask even if I tried.

This has shown me that I have honestly tried my best in previous times, and I need help.
