There are reports Zelensky may say Ukr is dropping NATO aspirations. Given that the US is blocking Ukr for NATO and may abandon NATO, this is realism. But when Ru says "good, but we want XYZ also" it will confirm for the nteenth time that Ru doesn't care about NATO; it wants to subjugate Ukraine.

I have been wondering this as well. There is so much diplomatic activity going on between Europe and the U.S. that one gets the impression it must be close to a breakthrough. However, there is no indication at all that Russia is willing to agree to anything short of complete Ukrainian capitulation.
The White House does know that Russia also has to accept whatever peace thing that they are demanding Ukraine accept. They know that right? Because there are practically no signs that Russia is going to say yes to whatever is pushed on Ukraine.

Division is the primary target.

- European states from one another (hawks vs doves, Baltics vs western Europe);
- and Europe from the US, by probing how much NATO solidarity really exists.
