My partner asked me my thoughts on Therians the other day. He said that an ex-friend had tried to convince him that their lifestyle is threatening to the legitimacy of the fight for trans rights. Partner and I both agreed that and he were stupid, but I have something important to say about it.

now that we’re halfway through the decade, i do think the lesson of the 2020s is that some friction is both good and necessary. relentless optimization has clearly made a lot of things about society much worse. my wish for the back half of the ‘20s is that we put that friction back where it belongs
