Think much of the over-parenting we despise stems from the early on fear of the driver.
If parents weren't terrified of our streets kids would have so much more freedom and independence which might get them comfortable with their children's ability to navigate the world without them.

Falklands are trending, huh? Obvious best compromise:
1. Spanish name: Islas Falklandias
2. English name: Malvina Islands
3. Since Argentina and the UK can't play nice, we're taking it away from them and giving joint control to Chile and Ireland.
4. Esperanto is now the official language.

Bleep, blorp...blop...Parking structures are currently 55% empty with 2,972 unused spots (or 4,458 decadomes worth of unused space) in A2 parking lots. Let's give more space to people and less to cars.

Why do pessimists seem to have a monopoly on the term "realism?" Optimists can be realistic too! For example:

Interesting that @frame.work 's "big tent" no longer seems to include Mastodon or BlueSky, but does continue to include promoting people who would harm others in that tent over on Facebook.
