Finland ended homelessness with a housing first strategy that gave people apartments before they secured employment

Now they’re proposing a 4 day work week and 6 hour work days

True work life balance

Meanwhile in the US, people work two jobs and can’t afford food or healthcare.

The hepatitis B vaccine was
introduced in 1981 There were
21,152 cases that year.

Hepatitis B peaked at 27,000 in 1985.

Vaccination brought that down to under 4,000 in 2013.

Parents have a choice to ask your neonatal MD to prescribe Hepatitis B Vaccine for your newborn, after the first 24 hours.

The problem is your health insurance will not cover the cost of the shot. You will have to pay for that out of your pocket.

Infants and young children are especially vulnerable: up to 90 percent of infants infected at birth develop chronic infection and 25 percent of infected children die prematurely from hepatitis-related disease.

Before the United States adopted a recommendation for universal infant hepatitis B vaccination in 1991, thousands of children were infected each year — both at birth and during childhood.

Hepatitis B is a highly infectious virus that attacks the liver and can cause chronic liver disease, liver cancer, liver failure, and death.

It spreads easily — by inconspicuous nonvisible blood or body fluids and can survive on surfaces for up to seven days.

The Vaccine Integrity Project found that the vaccine is safe regardless of when it is given, and there are no benefits to delaying the first dose.

Delaying the first dose increases the risk of infection and jeopardizes completion of the full vaccine series - required for long-lasting protection.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices ended hepatitis B vaccination for all infants at birth.

In spite of proven results.

Delaying the birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine will lead to more children and adults developing preventable liver disease and liver cancer, with zero benefit.

Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

When I worked in immigration law this wasn’t as common as it is now, but it happened, and it made everyone in the room so desperately uncomfortable, the way you are when you are confronted with your own bald-faced lie that you have to keep up. This is from 2016.

Just imagine standing in that court with that child—baby, really—and listening to his little voice and having to pretend that something lawful and reasonable is going on. It requires you to fully break with reality.

There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.
