Our tegu looks so much better after a coconut oil rubdown and a nice long soak. I know part of it is because he's still slightly wet. He'll probably look patch tomorrow, but progress is being made on getting the shed off him. Between that and the new diet, it's nice. He's adjusted to the new place

Wow. A guy just blocked me for advising him to look through someone's feed for an answer rather than demanding labor from the person who's feed it was. People suck.

This post is not an actual Trump post. Please fucking stop this shit. Lying and making shit up does not help us. It is the tool of our enemy. We do not need it.

Hey folks.

Would you like to register for a local live action roleplaying convention in Edmonton? It's on the February long weekend and attendance is not where we'd like it, and without a bump over the weekend, we may have to cancel.

Please check it out.

@jwomack.bsky.social must have some seriously mixed feelings about his book Random Acts of Senseless Violence. On the one hand, being THAT prescient would feel amazing, and yet, on the other hand....not so much.

It's some Octavia Butler style prognostication.

We're having a great day here. I laid in a dark room all day, and when I was able to leave my room, G took her turn. Migraines are wonderful.

I decided to order theatre popcorn to celebrate my first successful adulting in weeks, but I messed up the order and instead of Cherry Coke Zero, I got Cherry Sprite Zero, and it tastes astonishingly like a floor cleaner.

The firstest of first world problems, and this is still pretty great.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.
