The right to walk safely (or roll, for those who use assisted mobility devices) should be treated as a human right. This type of movement is one of our species' defining traits.
do I have a right to walk? that's the question I'd like to ask. do I have a right to walk without some inattentive idiot nearly ending my life because I was crossing a street, on a daily basis? because it feels like no
More than half of Toronto drivers in a Universtiy of Toronto study didn't look for people walking or on bikes before turning right. Study used eye-tracking tech.

Increasingly deadly vehicles, dumb laws, and irresponsible driving equal people being injured and killed.

I was "pulled over" by two young men impersonating police officers last night. This happened while driving on Ford parkway in St. Paul, around 10:40 Thursday night

In the age of ICE this can not be tolerated. They may have taken more liberties with someone from a vulnerable community

A memo directs staff to review merchandise for compliance with an order from Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to halt activities related to DEI, accessibility, or “environmental justice.”

I just saw someone riding a motorized wheelchair in the bus lane on Lake St... presumably because the curb cuts are making the sidewalks impassable.

The bus lane is probably safer than general traffic lane, but everything about it is so unfair and a major accessibility issue.

Sidewalks are failed infrastructure. The most vulnerable pedestrians use the roadway, which is actually cleared of snow/ice (often by plowing it onto adjacent sidewalks) and stays cleared because it’s designed to.

Follow-up question if you reply "yes" above. Wish I had opened the app at my stop this morning so I could have answered this question; the bus shelter and sidewalk hadn't been cleared at all after 6 inches of snow.

This has a parallel. Into the 2000s, police in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan would take Indigenous folks they found outside late at night on "starlight tours," driving them beyond the city limits, and dumping them there. They'd often freeze to death trying to get home.

Governor, when my wife was arrested at BroTex she had a team of attorneys — including legislators & a MN supreme court justice — trying to locate her & they were all stonewalled by Feds. There’s a pattern here.

But the point is that they shouldn’t be disappearing *ANYONE* regardless of citizenship!
Multiple U.S. citizens have been arrested during ICE operations.

The forcefulness, lack of communication, and unlawful practices displayed by federal agents will not be tolerated in Minnesota.
