If your "hot take" has been said a gazillion times by people, it's not a hot take.

I'm so tired of hearing/seeing "Hot take, the Beatles were the most overrated band ever"

Okay so just, is everyone with a modicum of power a pedophile or at least fine with hanging out with them? Is that what we’re learning?

Never again.

If the things you require me to sacrifice "for the greater good" are my healthcare, my safety, my bodily autonomy and my right to exist as an equal human being in your society, then it's not the good at all, and your party can burn to the ground and the nation along with it.

one of the things that 2024 proved was that many Americans now refuse to just hold their nose and vote when Dems are doing the same evil as Republicans and that shows tremendous growth. it also means the end of the Democratic Party as we understand it within the next 4 years or so

This is sort of a throughline in cases of excessive force used by law enforcement. The civilian is supposed to perfectly adhere to some unwritten code of conduct; the armed professional supposedly trained for such situations is only human & must be given lattitude if they succumb to fear and rage.
The administration is insisting that its masked goons are so emotionally stunted that words can launch them into a murderous rage.

"Our professionals are just ordinary people so ordinary people better act professionally around them, or else."

So say them all, it is unrealistic to ask for a Dem who doesn't support ice or genocide.

So stop voting for them.

The really hilarious part of this?

His posts that started this are all about explaining how the 'left really feels'. How "the elephant in the room isnt Palestine or trans rights, but the left wanting an impossible pony"

You know... putting words in our mouth.

We read what you wrote, dude.

libs on here truly think that any criticism of the (establishment) democratic party weakens the democrats and therefore should not be allowed.

"I'm gonna give Homan the benefit of the doubt"

"They should coordinate with local law enforcement, pick these people up in the middle of the night when they're not suspecting it"

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

Dems are starting so far back from what is needed that one of their demands is "warrants for arrests"

MOTHER FUCKER THAT WAS ALREADY REQUIRED
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

A Dem Senator’s Harsh Takedown of Trump Hits Home: “Breaking Point”
As Trump scrambles to contain the damage from the latest ICE horrors, Senator Chris Murphy offers a sharp indictment of Trump-ICE lawlessness—and explains how Dems can meet the urgency of the moment.

To anyone who thinks this is Schumer is merely dropping the ball:

Remember this is a man who breathlessly and constantly supports a violent state keeping an othered group firmly under their iron thumb.

He's not an idiot. He's evil. He has to go if we want any hope of positive change.
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.
Senate Democrats plot strategy as DHS standoff deepens heading into shutdown week
Two sources who were on a Democratic caucus strategy call Sunday said Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told the group the message must be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

There's apparently body cam footage of Alex's murder. Do people know this?

This lets you know that a demand for body cams is USELESS and in fact just a way to give more money to the killers.

Excellent thread here.
This is a very minor quibble in the grand scheme of things, but I've been percolating on it for over a year, so here goes.

I don't think we are using "imperial boomerang" correctly.
Controversial take, perhaps but here is why.

Everyone is dunking on this, but I see a point where I can align with the New York Times from this!

Yes, New York Times, liberalism IS largely transphobic and young people don't love that. Good observations!!!
