NTA continues to force Irish Rail to stay on X despite child sexual abuse material scandal
Irish and international experts have said social media platform X was generating child sexual abuse material, as well as nonconsensual "undressing" images of adults, but the National Transport Authority (NTA) is continuing to hold Irish Rail to a contractual obligation to post updates and to reply to messages on the platform formally known as Twitter. The NTA's lack of movement on the issue reflects the Irish Government's position to stay on X, but the authority did not answer questions relating to whether there has been any mandate from Governmenal level or if it would remove the contractual obligation put on Irish Rail as a public service obligation provider.

When a country with the world's strongest military, including nuclear weapons, puts a mentally deranged person in charge, it threatens the safety of the entire planet. The election of Trump was one of the most reckless acts in human history.

The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

FT | VfB Stuttgart II 0-4 MSV Duisburg

A brilliant second half. We have a striker that can score goals, we’ve kept a clean sheet, and are back up to 2nd! Oh and it’s the admin’s birthday 😜

Enjoy it, Duisburgers! 🍻

Thousands of people protested in Nuuk, Greenland against Trump's threats to take over their country.

Just over 55,000 people live in Greenland, which means that this was a significant portion of the country's population.

While we’re in the streets demanding ICE Out For Good, Democratic leaders are dodging questions about whether an agency that teargasses babies and kills innocent people should continue to have a budget bigger than most countries’ militaries. It’s pathetic.

In April 2024, Spotify implemented a new scheme: songs with less than 1k streams per year would no longer receive royalties.

The data for 2025 was just released via Luminate, and 88% of songs have been demonetized.

Read it again: 88% of songs on Spotify have been demonetized.

The story this week is so important, in my view.

It's about the morals of Big Tech and billionaires with riches and power beyond limit - but just far broader than that how far are government and authorities here and around the world willing to let them go.

I used to get 12k views on Kennys Kids when I'd post on a Tuesday evening that some right back most people never heard of is starting for Chippenham Town in the FA trophy

X engagement looks to be completely dead
Read the argument today that people should try to influence the narratives on the other website rather than abandon it.

I respect the view but - you're not influencing anyone.

Legacy media views throttled to death. Someone gave this example.
