Bail is to ensure that someone shows up to trial and to minimize the risk of flight or absconding. 10k to a foreign government official does nothing to minimize that risk. Was as effective as setting no bail. SMH

This is so very important and is a good thing. Guilty or not, it is important to honor the 5th amendment.

I just watched an essay on this topic of the “death of the mainstream.”
Tv used to be so limited in quality or existence of good shows and so we all flocked to what we had, but now we have everything streaming or produced to a multitude that we all find what we like but don’t share an experience

One thing I was thinking about with Malcolm-Jamal Warner's passing is that we don't have any sort of real collective cultural experiences anymore. Because every 80s kid knows who he is. The Cosby Show was watched by practically everyone. My mom and I don't watch the same TV shows anymore.
