In previous life I supported technology in the largest school system in Maryland, serving more than 160,500 students. I retired early to work full-time on Obama's 2nd campaign, & have kept an eye on Dem politics since.

WOW: Fox News reports that the DOJ used the same redaction standards for “politically exposed individuals and government officials” as it did for victims.

NYT columnist David Brooks wrote an op-ed a few weeks ago titled, "The Epstein Story? Count Me Out,” lamenting people are too focused on the Epstein scandal + saying "the QAnon mentality has taken over."

Today he appeared in 4 photos from the Epstein dump. Welp! www.huffpost.com/entry/david-...

There's no indication The New York Times columnist did anything wrong. But wow, the timing of his column and the photo dump is unfortunate!

Couple of very significant indicators regarding the illegality of the boat strikes:

1) Trump administration does not want to defend its legal theories in court, hence its aversion to sending the survivors to GTMO.

2) The UK—an incredibly close military and intel partner—views strikes as illegal.
Pleased to speak to @ewong.bsky.social about the administration’s legal problems in dealing with the survivors of one of the boat strikes.

“From the administration’s point of view, there are good reasons to be averse to bringing survivors to Guantánamo Bay or to the continental United States.”
NEW: Pentagon lawyers asked State Dept. if US could send survivors of Trump's boat strikes to a notorious prison in El Salvador. Then Pentagon pushed to have survivors sent anywhere but the US — to prevent any US court cases. Gift link to our @nytimes.com story: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/u...

The tariffs are the greatest abuse of power by a President in our history.
The President of the United States unilaterally levied a tax on all of us and is redistributing our taxes to a core segment of his supporters.
Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"
