Neighborhood listserv post tonight: A 13-year-old was hit in crosswalk by a driver turning right on red. ....THE DRIVER DIDN'T STOP. Hit a child on their way to school and just kept going....
More than half of Toronto drivers in a Universtiy of Toronto study didn't look for people walking or on bikes before turning right. Study used eye-tracking tech.

Increasingly deadly vehicles, dumb laws, and irresponsible driving equal people being injured and killed.

Please stop using Starbucks while the workers organize for a more fair and equitable wage and benefits deal. The gap between workers and the CEO is 1:6666 where as even in the 80s it was closer to 1:400. Support workers!

Climate change literacy is a serious threat to our planetary health.
Many people have no idea what the major contributors to emissions may be.
Check out the amazing work of this group of you haven’t already.
If food waste were a country, it would be the world’s third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases, after China and the U.S. 😱

Alberta teachers deserve better working conditions and better pay! Danielle Smith and the UCP are an embarrassment and they don’t care about our kids education! Shameful.

Awesome to see this billboard up in Vancouver.
Was really incredible to work with the people at @visionzerovancouver.ca to bring this to life.

With rents soaring and home ownership increasingly out of reach, the federal government must address the housing crisis in the upcoming budget. That means dramatically scaling up the construction of non-market homes of all types, including co-op, student, senior and supportive housing.

I used to frequent a Whole Foods cafe in Vancouver. The coffee was excellent, staff very friendly and swift. The baking was also really decent and a reasonable price.
Fast forward to today. Baking has gone to 3/10. No more “own cup” discount, understaffed, lamer in every way except the great staff.
