Exclusive: The Department of Veterans Affairs will abruptly eliminate as many as 35,000 health care positions this month, mostly unfilled jobs.

The cuts come after a massive reorganization effort already resulted in the loss of almost 30,000 employees.

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

That he has a goddamn heart?

It would “severely intrude on the President’s prerogative to control the image he presents to the public” and force him to “share his platform” with an ASL interpreter."

Just made our January health insurance payment for $1,873.34 (for my wife and I). This is for a bronze, high deductible plan. We'll be paying more than $22,000 in 2026 in premiums alone, and of course because it's a high deductible plan we will be paying a lot out of pocket.
PERACare vs. ACA Marketplace: 2026 Edition
I’ve written previously comparing our options for health insurance in retirement (2024, 2025). In both years insurance through the ACA Marketplace was easily the better choice. But for 2026 t…

I know it's unlikely to matter, but I'm confused. The discharge petition that Rep. Fitzpatrick filed that is supposedly for the ACA subsidy extension references HR 3001 which doesn't mention the ACA extension? Or it there a different discharge petition?

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.
