For the record, Robin Ince is a superb comedian, an absolute mensch, a remarkable thinker and the kindest human you’ll ever meet. And the BBC is a genuinely great and globally unique institution that needs to stop being afraid. I think that’s where most of its faults and issues stem from.

Cooking: underestimated how fast the beef would cook, it had already far exceeded my goal temp by the time I tested it. Good to know before the big day.
My Yorkshire puds turned out great, and all the feedback on the beef gravy was positive, including from a mate who's a bit of a gourmand. 🙂

As an author, I’ve already gotten multiple emails from people asking me for fake articles and books that I’ve supposedly written, because chatbots have told them fake references. I *cannot imagine* the frustration and time waste for librarians and especially ILL library professionals right now.

The absolute funniest thing about this is that the house pictured is legitimately an abandoned meth lab, as someone in Derek’s replies discovered (see thread for proof)
If you want to do something like this, why not buy a $150k home in a small town in Italy, France, Spain, or Mexico, instead of having nine people share one bathroom after they eat at a restaurant called "Stinky's?"

Hockey: I didn't play due to a family celebration, so naturally my team nearly reversed the previous meeting between us and this season's 1st opponent (an 0-11 loss). They led at the half 1-0 and only lost 1-2.
