I want people to displace the imaginary depictions of *revolutions* that they have come to create in their heads with the actual small revolutionary acts that happen daily. We might get closer to revolution that way.

Exciting that Calvin Duncan’s win is making rounds nationally! I think worth noting for context to those outside of New Orleans - our incoming mayor, city councilors and congressman endorsed his opponent.
Like this!
a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

CO-SIGN and fuck that fancy house
I would like to state that… restaurants should not try to make their version of ketchup. Heinz got that good good. Unless you got that recipe on lock? It’s just sad tomato soup.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

“What is that?” asked Frog.

“I can go home,” said Toad. “Winter may be beautiful, but bed is much better.”

This post informed me there was still time to be sending emails, making calls. I sent mine and sent @shaheen.senate.gov an especially wordy version.
There’s still time to call senators. Let me explain. Sorry not sorry about the cat. He’s also really upset about this deal.

Incredibly (and not surprisingly) disappointed in my home state senator @shaheen.senate.gov
She was the governor when I was a child and I thought it was SO cool that we had a woman in charge, what a waste of that power right now as people face devastating health care and hunger

here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
