Happy for NYC and the other places that elected progressives, but in the mayoral race where I live the one progressive candidate finished a distant third behind a centrist dem incumbent and a maga republican (the two of whom are now going to a runoff).

Gonna defend Rob Hatch here. The job of commentating on a race broadcast is to promote the event, to make it as entertaining as possible for the viewer. It's not to comment on every rider's politics, or bring up what they did on social media 5 years ago, when they were still 19.
