Most of the time when I hear folks complain about cities, I find that they are complaining about things to fit in with their group. because they don't actually live there and they don't know what are actually problems for people who are there.

I don't resent the scrutiny Cassidy is getting - he deserves it, and he deserves an extra helping of shame. But RFK Jr. is one of many reasons the GOP should not just lose, not just be in the minority, but cease to exist.

What is especially galling is that, for WI and GG, this is a single decision. It's done and they can face fallout and go about their lives as if nothing happened. For trans people, there will be ANOTHER similar decision tomorrow, and the next day, ... And we're supposed to "be calm."

This part is *infuriating*. This cis woman heard an 80 year old trans woman say, 'This is the only place I've been respected as a woman IN MY LIFE.'
And did not immediately think, 'I will fight every inch like a dying badger to keep her in my organization.'

The power lie. When they say what they want and who is going to say "no we all see it's not like that"? Who is gonna come to their turf and say it in opposition where the people who need to hear it will hear it? They don't need to back their lie with reasons when they can just insist.
