I’m an old Midwestern white trans lesbian. I write software for a quantum computing startup. I have multiple overlapping flavors of neurodivergence.

I was raised by television in the 80s, so I’m nostalgic for pop culture of that era.

i just know i struggled with weight for years and I got a lot of flack from people who had never struggled, and who therefore assumed fat people were morally or intellectually inferior

friends would insult other people, not realizing that they were painting me with the same broad brush, and it hurt

i hate that the first response that people go to with those young republicans is making fun of their looks

i’m not saying that we need to take the high road. just that going after weight or height or looks is classless, loser behavior

criticize people for what they do, not who they are

when i was a kid, we were a sam’s club family instead of a costco family

my mom said they were similar, but that sam’s club “felt” better for us

in retrospect, i can’t even imagine inflicting that psychic damage on yourself. dare to dream, woman. believe you’re worthy of being a costco family

when i think about FFS, one of the really exciting things is that i have to take a bunch of time off of work and it feels kinda messed up that im looking forward to the time off as much or more than having a lady face
