What’s so special about the KIM-1 anyway? It was probably the cheapest way for a would-be computer programmer / hobbyist to get a pre-built working system. It could be expanded with extra memory and a terminal. It was the ideal software-meets-hardware experimenter system. Basic but flexible.

This guy has been a superstar. WAYYYYYY more ready to meet the moment than any of our nationally recognized politicians.
We’ve been on the scene all night in North Minneapolis. While we don’t know all the details, we know that ICE shot another person in our City. We also believe a family is still trapped inside and hasn’t been able to talk to anyone, including an attorney.

Artists could form a cooperative, and train a model on their own data, host it through runpod and charge access to it to compensate themselves for their work on the data, and sell access to the only "ethical" gen AI, but that would actually solve their problems, so nobody will do it.

Say what you will but nothing is better then an episode of homicide life on the street as a sleep aide, I don't know if it's the pacing, or the music cues or what. And seeing Andre Braugher in anything is a privilege.
