After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

Everyone needs a little creature happy to see them. The world would be a better place.
Idk man there’s just something about coming home tired and being greeted by a little creature happy to see you.

I hope this shit doesn't infect their very few physical releases? I feel they will completely drop physical media eventually.
... To be fair, they could be talking about the Sephora that just opened up in Cephiro's city of Saphira, where they have Spyro playing on a Sphero.

... ... ... OK, I'll stop joking now - this really is just shitty and shouldn't be acceptable.
These are their autogenerated subs on magic knight rayearth and they’re absolutely horrible. Cant get the name of the country/world right

My parents went out Xmas shopping today and they picked out each other's gifts. My mom picked out her own gift and my step-dad picked out his. No surprise gifts, which I personally hate.

This is your sign btw that you should call Mastercard
Spoke to my source familiar with internal workings at Mastercard. The holiday call campaign re payment processor censorship is working, there is a lot of pressure being felt from your calls. This is resulting in increased response times at a core moment for Mastercard due to the holiday season

So apparently Sonics, the fast food restaurant, let's add stuff to your drinks. Stuff like fruit flavors, cherries, raspberries, etc.

They also have the options to add pickles or jalapeños to your drink. So you could have a jalapeño coke. I'm not sure that I would enjoy that. Anyone else?

This makes me sick. I've stepped away from anime for a few years now and I wanted to get back into it again. There's so much on their service I wanted to go back to see but I can't anymore. It really sucks that most of their content is not available anywhere else. Most lack physical media releases.
Important update: I have received word from insiders that Crunchyroll executives have deemed the user backlash to be small enough that their subtitle enshittification & OOONA plans will NOT be cancelled, only delayed.

I have added an update to the article. There's a summary at the top now too.
New article on ★ daiz.moe

Crunchyroll is destroying its subtitles for no good reason
daiz.moe/crunchyroll-...

A ton of research and effort went into this one. This is the article to read to get to the bottom of Crunchyroll's subtitle changes!

Replies here will show up as comments (eventually)

Just because something looks like crap doesn't mean it's AI generated. People have been making terrible looking things long before AI.

It's just AI generated terrible looking things are created from plagiarism and theft. It's really kinda pathetic. No need to steel and plagiarize to make crap.

This was when I stopped caring about Nintendo. Not for any particular reason, I just didn't care to buy the GameCube. I mean, I was a Nintendo fan from the NES to N64 but I lost interest.

Of course, I was a poor college student and I had no money for a video game system.
Happy 24th Birthday, Game Cube! Making its way outside Japan to the USA in November 2001!

Let's celebrate with some GCN eye-candy: very high resolution and quality from a press disc.

What games would you recommend to someone wanting to get into its library, peeps? What are your faves?
