Adorno on when human beings were probably more like corals than what we call individuals today: “The phase of myth is the phase of the swarm, of swarming.”

ethics (ie everything) stems from pain, so if disabled or raced folk claim y'all are getting too comfortable using these "slurs" for machines, and you immediately go defensive, that isn't off-limits per se but is suspicious enough to prompt thought about the horizon of your caring faculties

Brandom’s “Making it Explicit” in one post:

‘this’ (normativity as rule-boundedness)
is ‘how’ (implicitness of norms in practice)
‘we’ (community as ascriptive possessor of original intentionality)
‘do’ (pragmatics)
‘it’ (conferral of propositional/conceptual content)

Ok with this I officially will be advising students who ask me for advice re PhD programmes not to go to the USA. I think we get some really talented people interested in diverse topics going through our MSc and PPE programmes here at LSE that I teach on, so I genuinely think this is America's loss.
Hundreds of international students have just received an email telling them their visas have been revoked.

The ‘justification’ is campus activism or social media posts.

this is a great term, one I didn't realize I'd been wanting. I think a lot of higher ed is coin operated.
There’s a term in industry when someone is obviously doing what makes them money, oblivious to what’s right or any consequences. We call them coin operated.

We’re about to see the first coin-operated American government.

I made it to 1000 followers. I said when I did I would introduce everyone to my great work. That was obviously a joke. But here are two general audienish overviews of my works in progress in relation to Marxism and Critical Theory:
