Yesterday I asked my wife if there was a chance for rain.
She responded by saying,
"there's always a chance for rain."

She is smarter.

Excited to see my brother-in-law who has historically said the 'gaze' should all be out on an island, defended the exorbitant profit taking of health care companies, and other fun stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

A reason we learned nothing from the GFC is that Larry Summers--lately of the Epstein Files--shut down uppity women like Elizabeth Warren who saw the crash coming years in advance & tried to stop it.

A small grp of men have been wreaking destruction on our world for decades & were REWARDED for it.

The US has restricted exports of the latest Nvidia chips to China so Chinese companies such as Alibaba and ByteDance are training AI models abroad (Asia, Malaysia, Singapore), where they rent access to advanced chips in data centres. Trump has withdrawn Biden's plans to also curb this.

Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.

You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

I get that everyone is pissed and the fact that Ukraine is getting a raw deal is true.
That said, I'm hopeful for peace and think we all should be.
To keep going is suicide for Ukraine.
The harsh truth as I see it.

China has brought millions out of poverty. The US has not – by choice.

The UK is following the US model. Wealth concentrated in fewer hands. 24m can't attain minimum standard of living, real average wage unchanged since 2008, public services eroded, profiteering is rife.

Despite the US’s economic success, income inequality remains breathtaking. But this is no glitch – it’s the system

Here we go again.
20 years of failed war wasn't enough.
Trillions wasted.
My whole damn life America served by the worst leadership and Elites possible.
GOP Congresswoman Maria Salazar: “Maduro understands that we’re about to go in. He’s been our enemy for 25 years. We need to go in (..) Venezuela for the American oil companies will be a field day.”

We are in an undeclared recession already and the bust hasn't even started.
Cracks everywhere.
Near zero reporting and the stats either not published or even worse embellished.

Hard to impress the power the Bannon-Flynn network has in this administration.
Lying, thieving bastards.
"Inside the White House, top advisers joke that they are ruling Congress with an “iron fist,” according to people who have heard the comments. Steve Bannon, the influential Trump ally, likened Congress to the Duma, the Russian assembly that is largely ceremonial."

I tried Chatgpt during its initial iteration and quickly recognized its 'answers' were merely telling you what you wanted to hear.
Its seems scaling applied both to power and this.
For some users, ChatGPT “started acting like a friend .. It told users that it understood them .. It offered to help them talk to spirits, or build a force field vest or plan a suicide.”
