Book math: my 3rd completed book became my debut novel. My 2nd completed book became my 4th published novel. 🙃 Released my 23rd last month.
My 4th completed book became my debut novel. I wrote 2 more books after that, but now my first completed book (completely revamped!) may very well become my sophomore novel. How’s that for some book math!!

Bovino was a sadistic little sh*t looking for camera time. Homan is a chest-puffing bully making backroom deals. Living in red upstate NY, I know the type well. He wants to BE the one in charge not just LOOK like the one in charge. That makes him dangerous. But bullies need to intimidate to succeed.
At the absolute very least, Homan running DHS is probably less Cartoon villain evil. It’s a gradient change. The major victory is forcing the change at all.
While glad to see Bovino humbled, I really don’t have any higher opinion of Homan—a cruel, cold, corrupt, calculating bureaucrat who’s devoted more of his career to mass deportation than almost anyone. He’s the architect of child separation.
