Counter-Strike player since 2001 & often found being very annoying about my love of the Fallout franchise.

Absolutely nothing new is said here, but I adore this game. One of my all-timers.
One of the worst things to happen to online FPS games over the last 15 years was the death of the dedicated community server.

Some games like 1.6/Source still have a small population of regulars, but most games don't do this anymore

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Wars or Trek, LOTR, or Marvel.

At the beginning of JAY KELLY (on Netflix), George Clooney plaintively says “I got to see the end before it ended” and holy shit does that line hit differently now.

I feel the same way about movies. And as we’re staring down another cataclysm, I’m grateful I got to see the end before it ended.

I can't trust someone in this life who doesn't jam to the film School of Rock.
SCHOOL OF ROCK is one of the best films of the 21st century.
What’s your favourite movie that YOU KNOW is fantastic, and you couldn’t care less if movie snobs would say it “isn’t real cinema?”

Welp, time for my yearly holiday Lord of the Rings Extended watch.

To this very day, nobody has managed to do anything quite like this trilogy in the way Jackson and his crew achieved.

Bosch is so underseen I feel? I loved the whole show.
I don't think Matthew Lillard is actually on here anymore (wise) but fwiw I've been watching a little bit of Bosch for the first time and he is also good in that. but then again, he's really never not great.

Trading Places is about how the secret to being rich is to have two vindictive perverts give you a lot of money, and that’s why it’s an all time Christmas movie.

Time to grab The Killer.

It's real tragic that when I move from Illinois next late summer / early fall, I will never again taste good pizza.

Tim Cain is one of my favorite devs in game history. Truly adore this man and I would love to meet him some day. Can't wait to see what kinda stuff he gets up to at Obsidian.
Fallout creator Tim Cain has returned to Obsidian, says "you're not going to guess" what he's working on

If this goes thru it will accelerate Hollywood’s precipitous decline. Thousands laid off. Creatives w/fewer studios willing to bid on projects. Fewer choices of what to watch for consumers. Possibly a death blow for theatrical filmgoing. Just terrible news all around

Did Pitchfork gain cultural relevance with Gen Z? The TikTok hate videos for Getting Killed I’m seeing on my feed for some reason talk about Pitchfork in a way I haven’t heard since Spotify and poptimism took over. I’m happily drinking Metamucil like, good for the kids they got their Veckatimest.

Also, can we get a UHD release of Pleasantville already. I have a feeling this would look stunning on the format lol.
I’m fascinated by how many of these schmucks seem determined to return not just to the 50s, but to an imaginary form of the 50s derived from sitcoms. I demand a national screening of the movie Pleasantville!

Cannot stress how bad shit is about to get if you want to build any kind of PC.
Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

This is my finalized opinion, but I adore that NPR had Atomfall in here, but I feel it's sorely missing Tainted Grail. Still, proper work lads!
