My only takeaway from Georgia-Texas is Sark always looks like he has just been informed the FBI is downstairs.

This is a really fun story on "Half and Catch Fire," a series set in Texas computer industry in the early-80s that aired back in the 2010s. Hunt it down and watch if you can find it.
for our "Texas Canon" series, I wrote about Halt and Catch Fire, the underrated AMC show about the '80s Dallas tech boom, and how it reminds us of why we were optimistic about tech in the first place: www.chron.com/culture/arti...
One of TV's most underrated shows gave Texas' tech past its due
Texas rarely gets the prestige treatment. One AMC drama pulled it off.

These girls were misled and abused by powerful men who thought that the rules didn’t apply to them, that they could get away with anything. There should be justice.

Wait, is that New York Jets owner Woody Johnson mentioned in this email exchange?
2017: Jonathan Farkas emailing w/ Epstein about "seeing" someone, then mentioning his wife, Somers, who got an appointment from Trump to the White House Fellowship Commission.

Epstein warns Farkas about the other woman.

2025: Somers Farkas was confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to Malta in October.

Am I wrong in assuming that "Kaslowitz" is really supposed to be "Kasowitz"? If so , it's always weird when my old law firm pops up in Trump-adjacent email dumps.

But Whitmire’s version of “keeping Houston safe” looks a lot like selling out the people of Houston for political convenience.

This is what happens when your biggest concern is pleasing the powerful instead of protecting the vulnerable.

Update: They can't find Cornyn.

@ossoff.bsky.social I don't live in Georgia, but that doesn't stop you from sending me countless donation requests. So I want you to know if you vote to cave to Donald Trump on the government shutdown you will never see my money again. I will be happy to contribute to your primary opponent though.

Don’t promise me a good time if you don’t mean it.
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"
