Actually, leftover scumbags from the NIXON administration.

When Mike Oldfield really gets cooking on the guitar, there’s nothing juicier. Ommadawn is the pinnacle of that particular thing, fwiw.

If you like Tubular Bells - and everyone should! - I recommend Oldfield’s subsequent album Ommadawn. After those two albums, he kind of lost the mojo… some of Five Miles Out is decent. Anyhow, side one of Ommadawn is fantastic. Its ending buildup is sublime.
