For a literal decade the official CBP policy has been “don’t stand in front of or behind vehicles” because the decade before that their internally commissioned studies found that agents were putting themselves in front of vehicles so as to shoot the occupants
Because he put himself in front of the car to have an excuse to shoot!

To go further, and this is a separate point, you don't actually NEED to be part of the conversation. You might help by amplifying the existing conversation, but part of solidarity is knowing when to shut the fuck up and let the local people, the people in the community, do their thing.
All of this is to say that a lot of this shit that you're talking about On Here dominates information circulation in local or smaller networks. Many of the things we're all angry about are massive news in the spaces where they occur.

Just outright stupid. I'm quite sure "not enough ai" is not the big problem in US healthcare
My issue is that everyone wants legislation and assumes it will just all work. It won’t. Too many vested interests. Too much need for AI to make it all work, which will scare people and make them question it more.

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.
