Until owners open their books, the default assumption should be that they're making money hand over fist and they don't want the players to know it. And opening the books should mean cash flow statements for all affiliated entities, not just showing paper losses for the team.

I have never enjoyed an MLB team more than this year’s Toronto Blue Jays team. At a time where domestic and world news hammers you down daily, they have provided me and my family with endless optimism and spirit. It doesn’t matter in the big picture but then again, it’s also everything.

So, I picked up a Nintendo Switch 2 late last night and my initial impressions are extremely positive. The system itself feels good, and the OS (understandably) feels mature and polished.

I still don't think Americans appreciate the degree to which Canada is in the midst of a total anti-American vibe shift.

Well, I just finished Final Fantasy V as part of my Final Fantasy replay. It definitely has its charms, especially Gilgamesh and Ghido, but I can't say I'm a fan of the job system or the slog of an ending.

In just the last four seasons, 23 of 30 MLB teams have made the playoffs, and 12 of 30 have won their division. Four different teams have won the World Series, seven have played in the Series, ten have reached the LCS round. I truly don't know what higher level of parity you could possibly ask for.

My hot take on the #BlueJays is that the Straw deal is them using their financial resources to get more prospects. Obviously, Sasaki would have been ideal, but it can still be a good move in the end.
