On my 7km route between 7-9AM and 4-6PM, it’s close to 100% if you calculate from time bus is “supposed to arrive” to time of drop off.
I walk about a third of the time.
Used to be a bit better when our bus connected to the LRT. Now it goes well clear of that connection. “Improved service!”

A useful thing to track would be the percentage of transit trips in Ottawa that end up taking more time than walking.
Yesterday it took my kid 90 minutes to travel 7km with OCTranspo.
Her scheduled bus didn’t show. The next bus didn’t show. She got the next next bus. 30 minutes down.
Then 60 minutes to travel 7km through Ottawa’s transit-hostile streets.
Late for her job. So the trip cost her close to $20.

In retrospect, my surprise at the depth and pervasiveness of the moral cowardice of many people in positions of power was utterly naive.
