Spotted a city crew removing snow from parking spots on a residential street downtown. Many sidewalks are still impassable and the bike lanes are full of snow, but at least drivers will be able to access their subsidised bit of curb

This whole debacle reminded me of something I totally forgot: in Oct 2023 they got rid of Wanda Nanibush, the AGOs first ever Indigenous curator, because she is anti-genocide.

Shame on the AGO!

Its that bad that I don't even think about streetcars in a storm like that. Stalled or blocked, I saw at least 4 ytd. I'm lucky that I can walk or take the subway
Everyone, babes/old/workers waiting & waiting. This was a collision it seems but routinely in snow streetcars blocked by cars parked etc.

Some city councillors huffing and puffing about impounding bikes of delivery people - but not cars that hold up 100s of people.

An open note
to those masking
as this semester starts:

When you are asked
(and you will be asked)
why you
are still wearing a mask,
firmly but politely respond:
that you are wearing it
because you have
at risk people in your life,
for you do,
for you most certainly do.

Kitchener's heritage committee has decided to investigate preservation protections for a parking garage. What are some of its highlights outside of its "advanced concrete engineering", you ask?

"A report on the garage also notes... it was used in the filming of an Audi car commercial in 2008."
