Legault has resigned but his hateful bills targeting mostly women are still active and taking jobs away from Muslim women in Québec and harming children and families here for no reason other than hate.

A communication point we need to work on is that the immune system is not a muscle that needs to be flexed. It is a finite resource.

Many parents I’ve talked to view illness sharing as a twisted form of community care for children and coworkers. That by spreading it, they’re making them stronger.

We can't rely on Minister Solomon to protect Canadians from the harms of AI. We need to put pressure on him!
Canada’s AI Minister “has been accused of naively embracing AI rather than working to mitigate its harms, and of listening mostly to voices from the tech sector—those who stand to benefit most from rapid AI adoption.”

Good article on the issues with Evan Solomon’s approach to tech and AI.

“I’ll remember the Legault era for defunded schools, overcrowded hospitals and an assault on post-secondary education. I’ll remember the normalization of xenophobia that’s set Quebec back a generation, the defunding of public transit and the war waged against the people who make this province work.”
Thanks for nothing, François Legault
During his resignation speech, François Legault pathetically tried to spin all the glaring failures of his premiership into positives.

I also saw a similar post from Guillaume Cliche-Rivard and it is honestly par for the course for QS and why they are so upsetting. They don't stand up for anglophones/allophones, they won't stand up for anyone. No backbone.

X is claiming it’s restricted the ability to generate explicit deepfakes with Grok, and plenty of media outlets are parroting it without checking.

But it’s still easy to get Grok to generate the very same “undressing” photos causing this scandal in the first place.
X claims it has stopped Grok from undressing people, but of course it hasn’t
It’s still easy to get Grok to edit photographs of real people into sexualized poses, despite X’s updated restrictions.

This move is VERY similar to Stephen Harper's cuts.

It's an innately anti-science approach to governing. A way to muzzle scientists and social scientists.

You can do what you want when there's no good data to prove otherwise.
Quite frankly, it’s outrageous that Mark Carney is cutting Statistics Canada. If he was Stephen Harper or Pierre Poilievre, I feel like this would be getting a lot more backlash.

Carney of all people should know the importance of high-quality data and information about the country.

I think most people who are COVID-aware already know this but Leftists (like most people) are so far behind in COVID research they really don't know what they're talking about when it comes to health and public health, even if they proclaim loudly that they "wrote a whole book about it," in 2020.

This srsly pmo because getting TAships with decent hours is near impossible now and my partner had their LTA contract cancelled for the SECOND time in two years!

These ppl are greedy and preventing PhDs from being able to break into the job market. It's despicable.
Should university admin be paid well? Of course.

Should they be paid THIS well as the university falls apart? Absolutely not.

Someone did the math and found the money Concordia saved converting all its LTAs to precarious contract positions was equal to about *2* of these admin salaries.
