New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

My story:
Behind the disturbing image of ICE snatching a half-naked, elderly Hmong American from his home
DHS has claimed without evidence that they were looking for someone else when they took ChongLy Scott Thao.

I try to buy and ship gifts from Portland based small businesses, but wow so many online shops make it hard to include a note and a gift receipt. Or they let me know one item is a “preorder” and won’t ship the other (more expensive items) until the preorder is available months from now.

Mitch cosponsored the impact fee.

Sameer worked on codifying sanctuary city status.

Ryan and Clark have been reticent to do ANYTHING on ICE.

No other city has revoked an ICE permit.

And yet the people shouldering all the blame according to these activists? The women of color on council.
I think it’s honestly disgusting and deeply unserious that the Revoke the Permit people have clipped videos of my women colleagues eating pizza at the dais as some kind of shaming tool, which is now being used by right-wing media to harass them in misogynistic ways. Congrats everyone.

I don’t care if Schumer voted no. If he’s unable to wrangle the caucus, he’s not an effective leader. I’ll continue to push for the caucus to elect a new one.

The cowardly Democratic Senators just relinquished the narrative that the GOP was responsible for the shutdown. It was a narrative that was winning but sure burn your own house down, again.

If the rest don’t oust Schumer immediately, then the entire U.S. Senate sold us out. They think we’re stupid. It’s insulting.
These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

Schumer: Okay, but you have to extend subsidies for corporate health care

When the Democrats lose an election, they debate endlessly how they can appeal to more voters. When Republicans lose an election, they think of ways to keep more people from voting.
