Charles Platt’s column about his rejected #Warhammer novel from Interzone #36 (June 1990) is quite a take... he admits not taking the material seriously, turning in a pre-pubescent power fantasy, and then gets aggrieved when Drachenfels comes out.

Two identical A5 Portrait-oriented zines sitting on a green velvet cushion. The zines cover background is white with off-white runic script. Over this, on the bottom half of the cover is a head and bust of a person with palid white skin, scarring coming out from the corners of their mouth, blood dripping down their lips, and a black segmented cap over their head and eyes with what looks like spikes or nails driven through it. The top half has a small white box out with text saying "OCCULT ACTION THRILLER.
