Denmark seems to be readying for a hard ball play.
If they close the landing strips needed to ground the special troops' heavy equipment, the US commander might have to rethink their entry eg air --> seaborne. That takes time. And that time can be used to fortify Danish troops further.

I’ve trained with some of these guys. Can’t imagine they all are happy about the situation.
But will they follow insane orders? Most likely.
