#Pride in Brighton is always a lovely and peaceful event but the thing I love the best is the car free roads, you can still cycle and it's wonderful and shows what our city could look like without the permanent congestion.

All four Green MPs voted against this cruel mistake of a Bill.

To those who are scared and worried about what this result means, we will continue to vote against it, and stand against any proposals that seek to save money by impoverishing those already struggling to get by.

Solidarity always 💚

Labour are making a political choice to push 400,000 people into poverty - or worse.

These cuts will kill - and now our Labour council are refusing to let the very people affected speak at today's emergency council meeting.

Join us outside Hove Town Hall at 3pm to say no.

Another lovely morning delivering for Just Traid, around the historic and beautiful streets of Lewes. Cargo bikes can replace at least 70% of urban van trips, according to me.

Can I ask everyone to cancel your direct debits please, remind friends and family too. We need to stop funding these liars, warmongers and austerity makers."

Bike racks nearly full at local supermarket. And that’s with zero bike lanes. The people don’t want to drive.

@edinburghcouncil.bsky.social @stephenjenkinson.bsky.social imagine the modal shift you could achieve with protected active travel lanes?

I had a right old rant about Tony Blair's ignorant, self-interested statement on The Jeremy Vine Show today. I mentioned that he has worked as a lobbyist for PetroSaudi, earning Tony Blair Associates £41,000/month, plus 2% of any deal he brokered.

As I watch Starmer tear up Labour's prospects by attacking people in poverty, abusing those who care about the living world and appeasing the ultra-rich, I feel the same sense of dislocation as I did before the Iraq War. Anyone can see the disaster coming, except, apparently, the government.

So lovely to see the main London Road into Brighton closed to traffic and open to humans running, the air is clearer and the birdsong is louder. Why do we tolerate so much traffic in our cities?

⚖️ The scales aren’t balanced.
The govt is cutting support for disabled people while refusing to tax extreme wealth. After 15 years of austerity, it's time to rebalance our economy—for good.

Tax wealth fairly. Invest in people. Protect our future.

For Palestinians being killed and the future of human rights, we must keep calling out our Government’s complicity in this genocide.

The UK has now issued more new arms licences than it pitifully suspended last year.

Why is impoverishing young and disabled people to the tune of £5 billion a higher priority for the Government than introducing a wealth tax? 👇
