MAGA activists online have rained death threats on thousands of Americans since 2016 & MTG has never done anything to combat it. She even hired one of the most obnoxious MAGA trolls out there, Milo Y. So yeah, no one should get death threats. But also, maybe be anti-death-threats for others as well.

Reading this remarkable letter offers more evidence that the Trump administration and its allies are far more interested in taking down elite universities than in supporting higher ed, even in the areas they claim to care about, such as "viewpoint diversity," or even helping UVA enforce the law.
Former UVA president Jim Ryan, who resigned over the summer due to pressure from the Trump Administration, just shared this 12-page letter with the Faculty Senate, detailing his experience with the Board of Visitors and DOJ.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.

1. Yesterday, the State Department designated four Antifa-affiliated entities as global terrorist organizations. It’s part of the Trump regime’s effort to inflate the threat posed by “Antifa.” None of these supposed groups is even alleged to have attacked Americans.

Just an absolute surreal account from former University of Virginia President James Ryan on how the DOJ ousted him from his position with explicit threats against the school.

At one point, DOJ attorneys threatened to "bleed UVA white" if Ryan didn't resign.

In Bovino's upside down world, there is no difference between an armed gang member preying on others in his community and a guy working 12 hours a day washing cars, flipping burgers, or installing sheetrock to feed his family — and he wants you to hate and fear both men equally.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

This nation...has no right to expect that it will always have wise and humane rulers, sincerely attached to the principles of the Constitution. Wicked men, ambitious of power, with hatred of liberty and contempt of law, may fill the place once occupied by Washington and Lincoln.

It's abundantly clear that a lot of Department of Homeland Security agents take great pleasure in inflicting violence on other people.
The DOJ accuses Martinez of assulting/impeding a federal agent on Oct. 4, even after an agent shot her.

An exhibit filed yesterday shows text messages discussing media coverage of the case.

Crazy how much some media has normalized the idea that voters are taking a risk if they elect governors/mayors who will defy Trump. That he’ll threaten their funding, etc.

Try to imagine, say. Greg Abbott being asked if he’s worried that Biden will punish Texas over his lawsuits.
