Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

I’ve been fairly one-note for the past week, but it’s been kind of hard not to be when my home, the Twin Cities, has been in a constant state of emergency due to an ongoing ICE occupation with no sign of letting up. It’s exhausting to have to worry about your friends and neighbors every single day.

No need to imagine. The country incarcerates children as young as 9 years old daily in youth prisons and jails. Those children are routinely sexually and physically assaulted and also emotionally tortured. They are fed terrible food and given barely any education. This country has done this for yrs.

Ordered a DSpico, a new, open source DS flashcart with some really neat future potential for hardware expandability via a USB micro port. Only had a little time to futz with it so far, but first impressions are super positive! Games load quick and the main menu has no trouble with big directories.
