The people at the top are so incredibly out of touch that they don't realize there's been an entire industry that has redeveloped and devoted itself, often to the detriment of every other genre, to answering the question: "What would a super hero do and sound like in a way that has mass appeal?"
Democrats have access to more writers who specialize in inspirational one-liners for movies and stuff than conservatives, but they can't ask them to come up with an inspirational slogan because whatever it is would make their billionaire donors upset.

this is mostly a byproduct of the sheer size of the U.S. in England you are never more than an hour's drive at most from a premier league stadium. that's why high school football is so big in Texas, for instance, because even a university team may be half a day away.
just a reminder that *lots* of countries have universities, and (to my knowledge) none of them but the U.S. treat their universities as largely minor league sports franchises
LSU is paying its previous football coach over $50 million NOT to coach there while likely guaranteeing Kiffin something approaching double that, all while having an academic hiring freeze and budget cuts across the board. What is the purpose of a university (rhetorical)?
