spending my entire evening feeling like there's something else i could or should be doing with my time and not actually doing anything at all because i can't pinpoint the thing that my brain is very vaguely alluding to that i could or should be doing
picked up guild wars reforged on a whim, and man... the nostalgia hits. i have long yearned for this era of games, and it feels nice to return. i imagine it's a similar feeling to playing wow classic, but i got so worn out from wow years ago that i just can't do it anymore. gw scratches the itch tho

Jesus, can you hear me? Good, the comms are working. Now, you're gonna need to run if you want to evade those Roman soldiers. Hold down A to sprint. Go ahead and try it. ... Good work! You just might be the savior yet. Now pick up that AR-15 and let's do some target practice.

absolute bullshit. that fucking loser in the stands is probably giddy right now about the voided guaranteed money
The two-game suspension for Steelers WR DK Metcalf has been upheld by an appeals officer jointly appointed by the NFL and NFLPA.

Metcalf is out for the rest of the regular season and sees $45M in future guarantees voided, including $25M that was fully guaranteed for 2026.

not just any exec - Morgan Sword is one of the most powerful people in the Commissioner's Office. And now MLB is trying to force teams to buy from his uncle.
MLB's tech regulation plans give itself full control over who can do business with baseball.
And I learned an AI scouting firm — founded by the uncle of an exec in Rob Manfred’s inner circle — may win a bid.
Team sources and antitrust experts told me it creates a conflict of interest.

NEW from me:
MLB Teams Fear League Will Pick Winners and Losers in Tech
The league is taking control of the choosing of tech partners, rather than leaving it up to teams; one firm under consideration was founded by a top MLB exec’s uncle.

The WH comment Stelter is suggesting "60 Minutes" should've included, seen in his followup post to this one, was as responsive as someone saying "Deez Nutz" to the request for comment and would in no way have been included by any responsible journalist. Stelter knows this.

Kavanaugh tries to put the "Kavanaugh Stops" genie back in the bottle
Kavanaugh goes out of his way to pen a footnote not having to deal with the case at hand.

He appears to be trying to narrow the forces he unleashed with his prior opinion allowing for race- and ethnicity-based #KavanaughStops

You say you reached out for comment and they did not answer the question and run the story. Copying and pasting a non-sequitur is not how to make a story “balanced”

the least shocking thing in the epstein files that wont get enough attention. police regularly arrest and charge victims to coerce them into participating, often jailing them in conditions that are worse.
jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

one lesser awful thing about the Epstein files is that genuine crimes against a huge number of children are being morphed into fuel for the influencer industrial complex who don't care about truth or accuracy and just want grist for the content mills

it's a really tough beat that the Colts are gonna play this well with a 45-year old unretired QB, two backup offensive tackles, injured center, and probably come away 0-2

2 years ago the Colts used a top-5 pick on a QB whose scouting profile was "the greatest athlete you on the planet, throws the ball one billion mph with no accuracy" but to unlock their offense they actually needed a middle-aged man who audibly goes "humph" when he sits down in his favorite chair
