I see the messaging shifting from "Abolish ICE" to "Retrain ICE". While the maximalist approach is warranted, I wonder if the "Retrain" messaging will be more palatable to a large swathe of Americans.

Wait, if this public land is able to be sold shouldn't it just be returned to the Native inhabitants? Wondering if the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1968 would apply here.

He said he was going to do it his first day in office, but he didn’t. Why not? He claims that he wants to stop the killing, and they keep saying only Trump speaking with Putin will end it, but here we are in mid-May still talking about maybe doing it someday.

Let's be clear. The US is illegally occupying Alcatraz. After it was abandoned by the US it was reclaimed by and for Indigenous Peoples in 1963 under the 1868 Treaty of Fort Laramie.
