Good meeting with the lawyer, who was very honest about me being able to do the grant of probate myself, and saving his fee, unless I really want him to do it.
Work was OK. My boss was praising my my skillset. Then I got my ‘outcome’ from my HR meeting, and it was as negative as I feared. C*nts.

To top it off, instead of the usual WFH, I have to actually go to Bath for a meeting with a lawyer. Not about work.
Then I have to come home and do a day’s work. Including dealing with the outcome of the stressful situation from last week.

Had a good day yesterday: big (post wine) lie-in, coffee in bed, visit to mum, then superb curry takeaway at home with my mate Ed, before we walked into town to our two favourite pubs. Got home about 1am.

In the end, a chap from Veezu called to apologise about the wait, and said "tbh, it's going to be another 30-40 minutes".
I can walk it in 22 minutes, so I cancelled the booking.
Ended up ringing another cab co I happened to have saved in my phone he's going to be here in the next 10-15 mins

We don’t have Uber in Chippenham, but instead we have Veezu, which is like Uber, if you bought it from Temu.
The app works the same, but uses local taxis. Getting them to find a driver takes an age. Nice experience once they actually turn up though.

My God it’s good. Excellently cast. Emma Thompson is superb as Zoe, and frankly Ruth Wilson (totally would) can do no wrong in my eyes. The rest of the cast are flawless.

I'm home from my annual trip back to Surrey, for a mate's birthday party. There's a theme each year. This year was "Somethone/thing beginning with the first letter of your name". Rather than go as an M&M I went as Eminem. My buddy was "John McClane" from Die Hard.
