I'm gonna make some of you mad by saying this, but please don't do this.
I do not hope for, or celebrate, any human being's death. (Which is not to say I cry when guys like Bin Laden are taken out.)
But don't let Trump make you into this.

Vote NO on this bill or else!!
BREAKING: The House of Representatives just passed a bill that would subject immigrant children to invasive bodily searches and keep them in detention instead of releasing them to their families.

The Senate must vote no on this horrific bill.

Feeling festive yet?

Many of you will know "Carol of the Bells" was a Ukrainian song.
Today is the birthday of composer Mykola Leontovych, born in Vinnytsia and murdered by a Soviet agent in 1921, aged 44 - some things don't change.

My most controversial dessert opinion? If there are seven choices for dessert, no more than three of them should be chocolate. The world is full of excellent fruity/spicy/creamy desserts that don't all taste the same.
My most controversial dessert opinion?

Food Network and its ilk have poisoned people’s brains into thinking that everything needs contrasting textures. A good chocolate mousse doesn’t need toasted nuts or a crumble, all it needs is … nothing (or whipped cream or, even better, raspberry coulis).
My most controversial dessert opinion?

Cheese is not a dessert. It is lovely, as an appetizer or something else. But ‘cheese board’ does not belong on the dessert menu.

Dessert must be sweet (thus cheesecake is fine, although I do not like it… which might also be pretty controversial…).

If there is a God no one involved in the making of this monstrosity will be forgiven, and they will burn in the deepest depths of the farthest hell for eternities without end.

My rage is so profound, deep as the Mariana Trench and hot as the sun.
My dad will have been dead for two months tomorrow morning. I would love to talk to him forever. I can't. And a fucking glorified LLM-fueled chatbot can't change that, but it can be a freakish abomination in the eyes of God and men, preying on the grief stricken to give them shit and call it gold.

America's NatSec strategy is an expression of weakness, borne out in its record, 0 from 3, of trying to force a pro-Russian surrender on Ukraine. It has been Europe's strength that prevented this. Much remains to be done, but we should avoid the counsel of despair.
