Day 1327 of Russia's 3-day "special military operation" to take Kyiv.

"Genius leader", and war criminal, Putin has now changed this to a 3-day operation to take a hamlet even Ukrainians haven't heard of, somewhere in Zaporizhzhia.

All the news, all the time in my daily thread:

It's impossible to fly into, or out of, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar + Astrakhan airports in Russia right now.

Well, unless you're strapped to a Ukrainian drone, and that's not advisable!

That's now 4 Russian airports out of action again.

I was just about to tell you only 1 more sponsor of today's🧵 - Mike (+ with only that name, I've no chance of finding your "@")

Then I got this + a coffee from Anonymous
"I have followed your reports since February 2022 from Bolivia. Keep doing the great work! Slava Ukraini!"

Here is the fire burning in Odesa tonight following the noisy half hour as 17-20 killer Russian drones tried to do their worst.

It's not clear if this is due to falling debris or a direct hit.

The good news is that the skies are clear now over Odesa and the wider region.

There was also a big drone attack by Russia on Odesa tonight, with around 20 mopeds chugging in to destroy infrastructure.

There is some smoke over the city, but it seems air defence has done well there tonight.

One shootdown made a very loud sound heard across Odesa.

Even the traitor "head" of occupied Crimea admits another attack on the oil depot in Feodosia tonight.

The "Goblin" (his old criminal underworld name) Sergey Aksyonov posted this statement (and translation) and I've included some nice pics of the massive fire there tonight.

In Rostov region, Russia said they shot everything down.

Then came the news "a drone crashed onto the roof" and started a fire at the private home. Two people suffered shrapnel injuries.

Soon after a more liberal channel reported 3 more loud explosions in the city.

The start of another TACO move?

I believe this is Trump flinching again, finding excuses not to give Tomahawks to Ukraine.

"I might talk to Putin"

Unconfirmed reports that Ukraine has again hit the oil depot at Feodosia in eastern Crimea.
Awaiting confirmation..

Volgograd resumes its traditional role of being the first airport in Russia to close.

Ukraine's drones continue to cross Russia.

A Russian sub surfaced near France this evening.

The vessel probably suffered a technical problem.
NATO says "We are watching."

But did they know the sub was there? Is it in French territorial waters? Is "watching" all NATO does?

In Sumy, a house is on fire after a drone strike.

It happened in the Kovpakiv district.

Several high-rise buildings nearby have been damaged in the blast wave. One woman has been treated for stress, but no serious injuries.

An ever growing number of Russia's industrial giants are having to cut back production, Exilenova+ has found.

This in turn will affect wages➡️affects buying power➡️affects profits➡️results in closures➡️Russia's economic collapse➡️No war, No Putin!

Nine carriages derailed on Russia's railways today.

It happened at Belogorsk station in the far east region of Amur. No-one was injured and officials say no carriages actually overturned so no cargo was lost, though they don't specify what was being transported.

This fits in perfectly with the first post in today's thread.

After 6 months of deadlock on a part of the frontline in Zaporizhzhia, the Ukraine flag was planted back in the village of Mali Shcherbaky.

The settlement is under Ukraine control said Oleksandr Kovalenko, Cmdr 24th "Aydar" battalion.

I've seen a few actually, but they can't replace them as readily.

It must be Ukraine's biolabs working again.

I've heard similar before. I'm expecting empty shelves in the regions soon when they cannot transport food around freely.
That will also generate nostalgia for the wonderful USSR for some, no doubt!
